Designation Complements Rapid Growth in Azure-Based Services

Hexaware Technologies is a leading global IT consulting, BPO, and digital solutions provider with 35 offices around the world. It delivers highly evolved services in areas such as rapid application prototyping, development, and deployment; build, migrate, and run-cloud solutions; automation-based application support; and enterprise solutions for digitizing the back-office. The Navi Mumbai, India-based company has extensive offerings in cloud-based services across a range of industries, including banking, financial services, capital markets, healthcare, Insurance, manufacturing, and retail. Many of its solutions are based on Microsoft Azure, which Hexaware has used since 2018. During this period, Hexaware also invested in building Microsoft competencies while increasing its Microsoft Azure-certified staff to more than 1,000 employees—up from just 20. The strategic partnership with focus on Microsoft Azure has resulted in an exponential year-over-year growth of 2,500% in Azure revenues for 2019. To further enhance the partnership with Microsoft, Hexaware set an objective to become a Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP).

ISSI Provides Expertise, Guidance through the Accreditation Process

Hexaware selected Information Security Systems International (ISSI) to assist with the Azure Expert MSP process because of ISSI’s deep experience in helping Microsoft partners achieve the designation. “ISSI met with our leadership team to understand our goals and timeline for the successful attainment of the Microsoft MSP certification,” says Ashok Harris, President of Strategic Partnerships. “They conducted extensive reviews with the team to understand our strengths and identify our gaps with the MSP accreditation. Following this, they established a transformation roadmap and conducted multiple consulting sessions to guide the team in meeting the objectives.” Hexaware attained Microsoft Azure Expert MSP status following an eight-month-long engagement. Activities during the engagement included a gap analysis, development of a strategic plan, extensive review sessions, and guidance to meet the objectives set by Hexaware leadership.
“The ISSI engagement enabled us to develop process maturity,” says Harris. “They assisted us in understanding requirements for a best-in-class MSP and accelerated our adoption of industry best practices, which in turn helped us better understand and transform our operations. The MSP accreditation positions Hexaware to pursue more opportunities with clients.” Uma Thomas, Senior Vice President of the Hexaware Quality Management Group, says the ISSI engagement was important for the company’s growth and services to its customers. “The ISSI engagement enabled us to develop process maturity,” she says. “We developed an understanding of the requirements for a best-in-class MSP and accelerated our adoption of industry best practices. ISSI also helped us implement best practices in our own processes, helping transform our operations.
